CC : Durham v Lancashire

Yep, that’s us safe, not mathematically but as good as and I’m calling it.

Got a chance to go to Surrey next week and lay a marker down for next season now. Really looking forward to it.
Thats what i was thinking but is it with the team they have planned for next season obviously without Rhodes.

Was talking to a Lancashire lad as I was leaving and he seemed to be resigned to the fact that they are going down as well as being hugely disappointed with Benkenstein.

To take 24 points to Lancashire's 1 point is a superb effort from Durham which 99.9% guarantees us safety and it goes without saying we have witnessed some sensational individual performances from Bedders, Ackers, Pottsy and not forgetting Rainey.

So....Neville Cardus, Gracie Fields, Bumble Lloyd, Frank Sidebottom, Little Harry Pilling, Mike Atherton, John Cooper Clarke, Jimmy Anderson, Keaton Jennings....can you hear me Keaton Jennings?...your boys took one helluva beating!

For a number of reasons I rarely get to watch county cricket, but will be in London next week and will catch a few days of this.
Pressure is off, temperature forecast for 21 degrees, should be great. £15 a ticket in advance, don't know if it's more on the day.

Took the week off work mainly to watch this game. Given the time of year, and the summer we’ve had, was just hoping to see some cricket played. In any event the weather played little or no part. Couldn’t believe what I was watching with the Beddingham-Ackerman partnership. I can’t recall the last time I saw a partnership, either live or on TV, of that magnitude or if I ever have. Still can’t get over it. Thought that the game would end in a draw given the kookaburra ball being used and the wicket seeming pretty true. However, Pottsie had other ideas and we should now be able to go to Surrey and take our game to them and see how me measure up.

Feels like we should have finished higher but for one or two brainfart performances (e.g. Somerset away) and a bad wicket against Worcestershire. We've got better players on paper than most teams in this division.

Hats off to Ryan Campbell. I didn't buy into the Franklin hate but the improvement since Campbell took over has been amazing.

Somerset away wasn’t a brain fart mind, they’re an excellent team

Worcestershire for sure

it’s notable mind that Bostock said on a podcast the other week he thought we’d underperformed

Was quite blunt
