CC : Durham v Kent

The sun’s breaking out in the Kings Cafe area. Hopefully play will start after an early fish and chips lunch 🤔 Good chance The Drizzler gets a game
Hold the back page ,it’s starting to rain so it’s looking unlikely the ‘£5 after tea ‘ offer will be necessary today

10:03 Update
The official club website is stating that Day 2 has been abandoned due to the pitch conditions

Seems odd given the forecast and time left in the day, but I suppose with nothing riding on the game it’s fair enough.
Going to be a repeat of the Hampshire match.

I don’t think either side would really mind to be honest, but the forecast for the next two days is decent.

There's some bargains to be had if you're 3XXXL or 5 years old.
The days are gone when you could spend twenty minutes or so raking through the £10 rail looking for “summat “ that would fit.
No such rail outside the revamped shop now.
Haway £30 to £35 or so for a simple polo shirt is way OTT for my long pockets and short arms ha ha

It's absolute robbery the prices in there like
It’s more or less the same as overpriced football club merchandise now.
The stuff used to be realistically priced without it being in the football “rip off Britain “ category.
The stuff was good and washed and lasted well
I still like my Surrige polo shirt and other stuff by the likes of Cotton Traders etc
This Canterbury CC stuff is very pricey
