Just seen someone on Twitter suggesting Coughlin is a goner too.
He's out of contract at the end of this month and given his fitness record he's hardly worthy of renewal.Given that, and Potts and Carse and no longer under Durham 's control we'd be looking at next season with only Raine as a proven bowler.Connors doesn't look a proven acquisition so hopefully North has the situation under control.

Although the likely 5 contracted players leaving only made 5 championship appearances between them.
Potts availability in that first block of championship matches could be crucial.

Yes but he's now also an ODI selection and W.Indies are over here for a series of ODIs and T20s May/June and there's also as 1 off test v Zimbabwe so not likely to see much of either Potts or Carse. To borrow a quote from the Surrey game "DeLeede needs to step up to be de leader"😀

Just looking at the forecasts for tomorrow. Not only is Thursday looking like a write off but with 24 hours of heavy rain predicted commencing tonight we may also be struggling to see much on Friday. Good job there's nothing riding on it.

The weather this year has been an absolute shit show.

The club will provide members with a prospects of play update at around 10.20am tomorrow

heard that this morning

Played in a cricket competition on Blanchland back in the day . A ‘novice’ type league. I played for DDC against Blanchland, Cargobull and another team. Had to bowl off 3 paces as the uncut wicket was lively
I presume they just cut a square in the middle of the football pitches as there's no cricket club per se.

Shame if true, but his fitness is a problem.

To be honest he won’t be missed will he, showed such promise as an up and coming youngster, he has suffered with injuries causing numerous setbacks, but personally I’d suggest he has been happy just to plod along with his career rather than show a bit more drive and commitment.

At 08:15 it’s looking very bleak in the DH9 region of the Disco . No doubt TRT will be on shortly with his John Kettley and Michael Fish impressions 🌨☔💧🌧
My advice is to stay at home and watch highlights of the 1975 Cricket World Cup Final.
Not a chance of play today. The big question is whether there will be any play tomorrow or thereafter as the ground will take a huge pounding from 24 hours of heavy rain.
Our CEO will be clapping his hands at the thought. Two potential washouts in a season - think of all the money saved.;)🤔
