Pringle doesn't appear to have progressed in the last 2 years but two points I'd offer in his defence. He was primarily a batsman who was encouraged to develop his spin for the good of the team and probably contributed to the regression of his batting. Also batting at seven you're often left with the tail with little chance to develop an innings. For that reason I'd give him a final chance at six and forget about his bowling.
