CC : Durham v Essex

Maybe we're not giving enough credit to our bowling and Essex judged that it was too risky to attempt maximum batting points.

It’s possible, it wasn’t intended as a knock on our bowlers - but when they were 280-2 (or whatever it was) there’s not really much our bowlers could’ve done to stem the flow of runs if they decided to go for it. Like for example 450 all out from there would’ve been quite a collapse, but if they’d done it at such a pace that meant they achieved maximum batting points it could only be seen as a victory for them.

Maybe I’m overthinking it, I probably am, but I just know for a fact we would’ve been looking to push the pace a lot earlier in the day given the forecast.

Contrast what we managed last week knowing there would likely be a full day lost, to what we saw on Saturday in this one - the mentality is night and day and I think looking at the bigger picture it bodes well for our long term prospects. Only downside to that of course is the fact they’ve increased the draw points. Which I think was a terrible decision. One made worse by raising the threshold for batting bonus points.
Same I'm off work, can't be arsed to cancel.my leave. Cricket I go

Were you in Coventry at the weekend?
Did you see Ben stokes having a bit of a bowl in the middle? Neil Killeen also there

Hopefully means he’ll be up for selection for the Hampfrica trip.

No, we weren't really invited. (Long story ticketing farce)

Looked a close lbw shout
pitched outside leg IMO when slowing the replay down on the stream

Stokes was due to be going to Florida with his family, visa issues meant he was in Manchester while they went. He decided to come back 'home'. Obviously still not resolved, but been almost a week i think now (all seen on his instagram account)

Potts been very unlucky this morning not to get a wicket

I find it somewhat "interesting" that Leicester are up and running today yet we lost 4, days Vs Hampshire.
I'm puzzled by this. They are in a different part of the country, their ground is different, the recent weather is different apart from the rain yesterday. Not everything is a conspiracy.

There pitch was a boating lake 24 hours ago and is now playable. We couldn't get a single ball bowled in 4, days and a lot of that time the weather was dry

Yeah i saw that unfold on Instagram, so all the money,Celebrity status and being England Mens captain means nowt. seems odd

I know he was found not guilty of affray that time, but was he charged with something lesser instead , America can be pretty strict with criminal convictions

Because we're on the floodplains of a river that is currently flowing very high, and Leicester aren't? The debate has gone round a million times already.
