CC : Durham v Derbyshire

That guest decision was a bit of a shocker, as bad as Jones's in the last game

Yep, very much agree, for me he got himself outside the line when it hit him on the knee roll. I call the umpires out when they’re bad to us, in this instance we’ve benefited from a shocker.

Regarding the day, this is pretty much as comprehensive as a day can get for one team isn’t it? If Carlsberg did Day 2’s?!

I can’t remember us having as dominant a day since we dismissed Northamptonshire twice in one day back in 2017 (iirc??).

Carse ton, maximum batting points, then taking 14 Derbyshire wickets whilst enforcing the follow on. Pretty much as Lou Reed described it.

 👍

I said jokingly if derby would send out that lad who was not out on 50, couldn’t have done any worse
You mean Reece?

their commentator said that he is an opener but he replaced a middle order batman in the team and that's why he batted in the middle order today, because the coach didn't want to disrupt the stability of the top order!!! Stability?? :D
Just goes to show. You can be a top international coach, recognised for your talents on multiple continents and still make some howlers.

And days like today and recent games is exactly why I was so passionate in wanting rid of Franklin. What a difference a happy dressing room and positive coaching can do/achieve/show intent. The intent is clear to see, we're showing a lot of aggression, team morale is back, the banter and shouting on the field is clear to see and members are happier and clear what our aims and intentions are. What a difference from last year. We will have tricky times ahead no doubt about it but as I have said, as long as I see positive intent, then I'm happy.
