Unlucky.

Good to see a very good batting effort, and a lot more fight as well. Certainly more positives to take away.

Well played

You're right Wayne, but for me, in this game (and the others actually) we haven't got a wicket taking threat from all of our pace bowlers. It's frustrating because we know they all can take wickets, but so far Rimmington has been a disappointment and in this game Dixon was awful. So Wood and Weighell aside, we looked toothless.

Last week it was Rushy and Weighell on their own it seemed.

Month or so off now, but it's paramount we can get Rushy, Potts and Carse back in the fold IMO.

McCarthy is also a wicket taker. Whoever signed Rimmington and Dixon clearly hadn't done their homework.

We may see better from Rimmington - a week ago see comments on Richardson and Poynter.

As for Dixon, he was an emergency recruit I can't imagine there was much choice, but there again he might come out next time he gets the chance and blow a team away. He's only here for a month anyway, apparently.

Rimmington was always going to be a half-decent 8 who offers a bit with the ball. He batted well in the first game. Sign of the times, I'm afraid. A better limited overs cricketer from what I can recall, watching him play for the Perth Scorchios.

In fairness, that's probably about right - be handy as a third or fourth seamer but seemingly asking too much for him to be a strike bowler.
