Isn;t Stokes number 3 normally? Have we promoted Muchall in the hope he plays a fine LVCC innings and will therefor fit in Wednesday?

I've no idea why Muchall has been promoted. So far he's scored 30 off 41 which isn't too bad but I just can't understand why you would want him and Stoneman batting together in the last 10 overs of a 40 over game. Stokes should have come in to give it a bit of a whack and Stoneman could drop anchor a bit.

100% sense

Must admit I would have preferred Stokes at 3 to keep it going.

Run rate was over 8 when Mustard was in. It's dropped to 7.35 at present which isn't too bad. It would get us to around 300 as long as we don't crash in the final overs like we did yesterday.

unbelievable the disparity between muchall's figures this season.. averaging around 9 in the cc and what around 60 in the pro 40? even in the t20 he averaged around 40.

I wouldnt care but its not like his style of play particularlly suits limited overs cricket? Hes not very aggressive nor is he a big hitter. Bizzare

Just back, what a great game of cricket that was.

Hoping the injury to Stoneman isn't serious though. Batting was excellent today and Borthwick took a great catch. Pleased with the win.

aye thats what makes it so damn odd, and its not even like when he just swings the bat he succeeds because even in limited overs he tends to start off slowly and then accelerate....
