Mixed feelings on this. I like Lee and when his head's screwed on he's capable of some terrific performances. On the other hand he seems to have lost the attacking aspect of his game since he came to us, has played an embarrassingly low number of games and is prone to losing his head. For £5mil I don't think we can say no, but it does place more urgency on us getting Bridcutt over the line and him performing.

Yes but we already needed to improve the team, 1 out and 1 in won't dramatically do that. We have plenty of midfielders worse than him, Gardner, colback and Larsson.
 
I'd rather keep him until the summer. But suspect the plan is in place to move him on.

Far to unpredictable with injuries and temperament to build a team around. Still it is not like we are overburdened with top class midfield players at the moment.

Maybe he will go out on a high rather than a red at Old trafford tomorrow

True. But the wage bill would look class, and apart from Ki and Colback, wouldn't be bothered about the rest going. Trust Gus to get better players then them and I'd rather he had the space on the wage bill to bring his own players in. And apart from that it's 5 mil for Catts. I'd snap their hands off faster than Catts could snap your leg off.

But is Bridcutt any good? If we are honest no fucker on here knows how good Bridcutt is, Poyet knows him well so he should be OK but I will be sad to see Catts go, very underrated player IMO

He's a lot better than Gardner, colback and Larsson, that's all that matters

He's been excellent away from he lately, a big reason for us being so solid on the road. By all means sell in summer but this is just another amateurish move. We need all the options we need
