Watched it last night for the first time in years and the death scene at the end in the cornfields is brutal. Knocked es ill

Has anyone else seen anything as brutal in gangster films?

(not counting sunderlands defending cause thats a whole other horror film )

Aye it's pretty grim, love the film though, went to see it twice at the pictures when it came out.

Seen a documentary about the real life gangsters Casino was based on Joe Pesci and Sharon Stone look lot like the the real life characters Anthony Spilotro and Geri Mckee.
They lead a pretty wild life in Vegas.
It's a great film which i think is underrated

The heed in a vice scene from the same film is just as sickening. I suppose the difference is you've watched it from Nicky's viewpoint for half of the film, so you identify with the cornfield victims more than with the vice heed victim.

It's also somewhat amusing due to Nicky's response that he's working for "Charlie M" and the background music is a a bit slapstick irrc.

Hostel is a fairly unpleasant film.

His reaction is probably Casino's closest approximation of "funny how" in GoodFellas. But the music is just a 70s hard rock drum solo - Can't place the song but it' sounds like Ted Nugent or Cream.

The killing of Billy Batts in GoodFellas has some incongruous background music - Atlantis by Donovan. An Age of Aquarius peacenik hippie singing about a mythical lost world of harmony which I now chiefly associate with someone getting their head stoved in with slip on shoes.

The bit where hes opening the boot and stabbing him and can hear billy batts gargling is bad like

i dont think you have to worry about spoilers for a 30 year old film.
i've got one about the sixth sense i'm afraid to share. maybe in a couple of years.
