I met him at International Fans Day last year. A charming character who you could tell lit up any room he entered. He stood and held the door open for 10 minutes, greeted and chatted with international fans as they walked through.

Will be dearly missed.

Such terribly sad news and I too send my heartfelt and sincere condolences to his family and friends. Taken far too soon but his hard work, endeavour and enthusiasm over two decades will leave a lasting impression on everyone at Sunderland AFC and those who were fortunate enough to encounter him in a personal or professional capacity.
