I don't know why I ever, ever had any concerns about them. Then after about 30 mins of today's game it all changed when they were 0-2 down, I still expected them to concede another few when they took an 84th minute lead mindCarlisle United 3- 2 Newport County. Clearly Carlisle’s triple is on for 2030!

Only eight points from safety with five games to play, the escape of all escapes is on - or probably not.
Accrington now right in the mix and Carlisle still have to play them......Carlisle also have to play Morcambe and Cheltenham which are both winnableCracking win - unfortunately with Tranmere winning looking unlikely that you can stay up.

Yep Carlisle willhave to win 3 at least to have any chance at all......another great win for Swindon today !Still a massive gap with only 5 games.
Shame to hear that about Embleton. Given the amount of football he'd missed out on in the last 2 seasons due to injury you'd think he'd be determined to resurrect his career but the fact that Bruce gave up on him almost instantly at Blackpool and is now by all accounts stinking the place out at Carlisle suggests he's unlikely to do anything of note in the EFL at this point.Went down to Chesterfield on Tuesday, absolute shitshow in an appalling season. Home team had 82% possession, 38 shots and 16 corners, it was one of the most one-sided game you’ll ever get.
Embleton’s an arsehole. Pathetic attitude and application from day one by a so-called professional. Blatantly doesn’t want to be at the club, didn’t want to come on on Saturday and made sure he wasn’t on long the other night, happy to pick up a ridiculous wage on a 3.5 year deal though. Bet he’s on more money than Sunderland’s captain!

Must be quite depressing going from playing for your home town club to bottom of football league tbfShame to hear that about Embleton. There are games to get points in (hopefully) but it's what they do to themselves that concerns me most.Accrington now right in the mix and Carlisle still have to play them......Carlisle also have to play Morcambe and Cheltenham which are both winnable
I like thatWe have a player on loan from Sheffield Utd, a complete disaster. Mistakes costing us goals and then he got injured. Sheffield Utd didn’t want him back.
Evidently Holloway got all the players in a room and openly asked the question have any of you called or visited Freckleton?
Complete silence. He went at all of them and the lad has come back and looks a better player.
I'd be extremely surprised if Swindon aren't right in the auto-promo mix next season. Any dominant team have a good chance & IH has the building blocks in place to complement them with some budget - plus the right personal decisions obviously.reckon we could make a serious challenge next season.
Not seen any quality this season.
I like that

A group of players showing togetherness, class!Watch the togetherness. Real good to see.
Do you reckon they'd take him after what he's shown at Carlisle. My prediction of him ending up at Hartlepool might be coming to light if this is the case.
And which manager/hc is prepared to chance his own position by taking that risk.Shame to hear that about Embleton. Can see him going to Gateshead, if Carlisle can actually get shot of him. Either that or he’ll dig his heels in, pick up his inflated wage and practically end his own career. Spennymoor or Northern League will be his ultimate destination. My prediction of him ending up at Hartlepool might be coming to light if this is the case.
My thoughts also; Carlisle will need to buy out his contract to get him off their books then he'll end up with whoever offers him most in match fees. Don't know who the big payers at NL level. But how he's reacted to fan verbal criticism at Carlisle make me think wherever he ends up he'll have a hard time if things don't go well in games. Can see him going to Gateshead, if Carlisle can actually get shot of him.
