First you ask the question if the two things were linked.
Then you say it "sounds to you like..." because the was an article in the echo.
Now you're going to the hospital (which will be governed by covid rules) to see the victim.

One in our lasses street was a 50k debt according to the local gossip mongerer, bloke wasn’t even in, was at Rainton Meadows watching the match.

Because the lad said it wasn’t the one in the echo (to which I know about) and because of the location was wondering if were linked. To which later after speaking to someone found out that basically the op was a rumour which the the poster had already said. Sounds like the two stories were mingled together.
