*~*~* Cardiff v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

And this is exactly why, for months, I've been banging the drum that Aouchiche should be getting more game time.

Goal and an assist in 25 minutes.

He's played over 70 games in Ligue 1, a much better level than the Championship, and has shown enough in his brief glimpses to show that he can coast it at this level.

Crazy how he hasn't been given more consistent minutes rather than a start here and there, 10 minutes off the bench and then disappearing for weeks on end.

Cardiff self destructing here, but that’s exactly what we needed imo. Confidence boost and kick on hopefully - a third before half time would be perfect.

Jobe should have started every game this season

It’s frustrating that firstly our fans demanded we play Rusyn

But then our mangers have gone away from our strengths to accommodate Rusyn, Burstow or Hemir. None of them are anywhere near being good enough to start upfront for us

I’ve really no idea why we moved away from what we were doing

For all of Jobe's faults when playing in midfield, he appears to have far more of a strikers instinct than any of the 3 'recognised' strikers we have at the club.

Based on what we've seen of him this season I'd be very surprised if that doesn't end up being his best position in the long run.
Interestingly, it was either Jobe himself, or his brother, Jude who said that his best position is actually as a striker.
