Can Hearts do it?

But that would only come from additional telly revenue as the Old Firm get millions extra each year from The Champions League.

The Champions League has been terrible for a lot of domestic leagues, particularly the “smaller” ones.
Your right and it's a vicious circle and the sfa have tried different formats to make the league more competitive but be honest there's probably more people watching Brum v Wrexham in the English second tier than there is watching Rangers getting beat by Falkirk.

The question you have to ask is why Scottish football only generates £60m in TV revenue per season? Could it be that the gulf between the top two teams and the rest is usually so big you only ever get an old firm champion so it's not an exciting watch? Btw last team that wasn't an old firm team won it was 51 years ago and rangers were out of the championship for 4 years. Don't get me wrong I quite like Scottish football myself and really want hearts to win it this year but it needs to have at least 3 or 4 teams a year who could win it to generate more interest.
Aberdeen won it in 85, which whilst a long time ago wasn't 51 years.

It's a good point. I make a point of checking the SPL scores and table now. Paid zero attention to it before.

Completely agree, essentially means they become “closed shops” as the mega funds become concentrated in a pair of hands or two.

Bodo/Glimt didnt win the Norwegian league last year. I’d hazard a bet they’ll win the next 3 though

Exactly mate. The £30m or so extra they got would probably be equivalent to having £300m to spend in the Premier League.

They got hammered yesterday, 5-0.
Perhaps they can only play in Arctic conditions, or the Glimt players wouldn't pass to the Bodo boys ?
