Calvert-Lewin (discussion on transfer)

He has always been half decent, however history tells us he will drop off a cliff and they will be scewed.

People comparing him to BB are failing to recognise the difference, our set up means he has very little to play off

Played really well. As others have mentioned, them actually getting people around him helped like, Brobbey was pretty isolated. If he stays fit they stay up, if he gets crocked after the window closes they might struggle depending on what west ham do in January. Suspect they'll be fine though, especially with their home form

I wanted us to sign him in the summer,( I didn’t know we’d have as much dosh to spend tbf), but I couldn’t argue with those against it citing his injury record either. He had that season a while back where he looked fantastic and I was looking at the cheaper player who might be alright, as I said I didn’t know KLD would go into the season thinking he was like one of us lot playing football manager.

I think Brobbey could/will offer similar if he’s supported adequately.

Nobody was questioning his ability just his wage demands and injury record.
Could have been a major flop spending all his time on the treatment table, if we had signed him .

He's looking like a very good signing. Actually buzzing for him that he has stayed fit too. Would have been perfect for us!

I remember one of the pundits (might have been Merson) suggesting we could get him if we offered to double his wages, at the time I wouldn’t of had him if we’d halfed his wages. Fair play he’s he’s in a rich vain of form & he looked good against us.

I think he's been a very good signing for them but still don't think he'd have been a good signing for us

Genuinely might have been the best centre forward we've came up against this season.

Good news for England.
His movement at the right times was outstanding, he is totally different from anything we’ve had for a long time and their front 3 have already got an understanding. I’d say that is the one flaw of our front 3 when attacking, it’s a bit disjointed.
With hindsight, him and Henderson would have been 2 very good signings for free, although I wasn't that keen on either in the summer
Henderson has exceeded everything I thought he’d be capable of physically this season. I was all for Xhaka over Henderson but at times the pair together could’ve been rather useful especially some of the tougher aways.

Thought he was good like. Great touch, good in the air and clever moment. Surprised me as read he was shite
Calvert Lewin has always been a good player when he's fit an in form.

His problem has always been that he is very rarely off the physio table for long enough to find form.

Yes he's in a good run of form right now, but before the last 5 games he was absolute wank for the first 14 of the season.
