I thought he was good in shorter formats. I could understand him being allowed to leave when we couldn't afford to maintain two teams though.

Looking at things now it seems to make sense that we should have retained MacLeod. Plus now he has got more experience under his belt he has improved. But when he was released in 2016 we had a much stronger batting line up.
