I've pinged a few messages out on facebook today, aye. Thanks.

Back to peas - I made a bed for them and started sowing direct about a month ago. Found that something was eating them as soon as they sprouted (nice clean cuts at ground level).
So I've covered the area with fleece sheeting.

Had 4-5 decent seedlinds (and then put more seeds in), but yesterday I noticed all the existing seedlings had wilted completely, dead on their sides. Is this just the heat?

could be the heat. Mice, slugs and pigeons will eat peas. The fleece or a net will help for birds, not much you can do about mice but I need decent slug repellent on everything. They munch through any seedling without it.

Still time to plant more. Fine mesh netting and slug pellets have always been effective for protecting mine.

Lifted my tatties when they flowered last week and they were all canny small. Could it be lack of water? My carrots all looked like shriveled chebs anarl.

My chillis and cucumber plants in the greenhouse are covered in little white things, owt I can do to get rid of them?

There are pesticides for whitefly, but when I see them I just squash them with my finger and thumb. Wasps and ladybirds will eat them too.

You may have carrott fly by the sounds of it. Very common mate. Took me 4 years to get a decent crop. The bassas got me every time.
I learned that carrott fly only fly up to about 18" off the ground, so I have fleece around them about 2 ft high.
Seems to work.

We are getting heaps off the strawberries this year. Well we are now we’ve hoyed a net over them to keep the blackbird chicks off.

Straight off the plant, warmed by the sun, that heady smell/taste is amazing, I'm getting semi-on thinking about it

First year of the allowment and only about a dozen plants (cambridge favourite) but a little punnet full of beauties. They were so good I think we're gonna commit another raised bed to strawberries.

Mine are doing strangely well, conversely. My chilli plants and some of the herbs in these new wooden box planters we bought however, less so. No matter what we tried the slugs find a way in and nosh the lot.
All the GH plants are doing fine Toms, cues, aubergine, chilli. All good.
Some outside stuff struggling. Planted 2 rows of mixed leaves, the cut and come again stuff, and only about a third germinated and really slow.
Beet took a while to get going, but looking better. Corn is good, onions recovering thanks to advice on here, but leeks look a bit slow to me. Corgettes are slow too I think, as are the carrots. Mixed bag so far this year. I might be just impatient. 😆

I think they may have been in the soil or already on the plants I'd bought. I've put my chillies and strawberries outside in the hope that some other little beasties will eat the little buggers
