C.C. Durham v Yorkshire (h)

The talk at the game was that Bedingham is out for the next three games. I was talking to an ITK who said that Root and Brook are due to be playing a CC game but not the Durham game. Robinson should be coming in at No7 in my opinion.
I'm not suggesting he should be dropped but I think it might help Robinson if he played a seconds game to help his batting get in order away from the pressure.

Colin Ackermann, Graham Clark, Paul Coughlin, Brendan Doggett, George Drissell, Emilio Gay, Mitchell Killeen, Alex Lees*, Ben McKinney, Matthew Potts, Ben Raine, Will Rhodes, Ollie Robinson+

David Bedingham suffered a knock on his toe when batting last week and a scan has revealed a fracture. Durham’s Science and Medicine team will continue to assess Bedingham regularly ahead of a return to play.

Mitchell Killeen is added back to the squad and is in contention to make his County Championship debut tomorrow.

A number of the Durham bowlers are currently unavailable and are working on their rehabilitation schedules with Durham’s Science and Medicine team ahead of a return to play

Brydon Carse (toe), Sam Conners (side), Daniel Hogg (achilles), Luke Robinson (groin) Stanley McAlindon (knee), James Minto (personal circumstances).

Ah it was just a thinly veiled bit of banter. The only thing that really pisses me off is that England players will be made available for the 16.4, when allowing them a couple of championship appearances probably does more for their form and also could stick a few on the CC gates.

I wouldn’t be too sure root will play this year but let’s wait and see

You won’t find me disagreeing with you about the 100 tho aye

Wouldn’t say it’s a pressure cooker like mate at Durham in April, decent crowds on weekends but it’s low key

Parky still can’t get in squad

Very surprised, something gone on there?

Not sure which way they will go with selection will they go the conservative route and bring Clark in for Bedingham and play 4 front line seamers and Rhodes or possibly 3 front line seamers with Drissell and Rhodes. They could be very positive and play Rhodes or Clark and then play 4 front line seamers and Drissell.
The likes of Potts and Raine bowled a lot of overs on Monday so they may need plenty of options. Either way the bowling still looks as if it might struggle to take 20 wickets unless we play on a Riverside green top although they did go close against Warwickshire.
Hopefully Doggett improves on his first outing in county cricket with the dukes ball. I thought he bowled well first innings but disappointing in the 2nd innings.

I would imagine the wicket may be a bit more livelier being that much further over towards the river.
