This has been really enjoyable. I’ve not been bored at all which is a rarity since about 2016.

Doyle, Cirkin, Neil, Embleton, Stewart all young lads performing very well. McGeady has been very good apart from his miss and even Gooch, who hasn’t been good with his final product at all, has kept coming back and trying to take responsibility. You’ll not see me complaining about that.

Winchester a far more competent player at right back than in midfield, Flanagan canny and O’Nien busy.

It’s a good a performance at 0-0 from Sunderland since we came down. More of the same second half and the rest of the season please Mr Johnson

They’ve all played well there

Neil best on pitch

Stewart has been fantastic

o nien plenty of bite

flanagan been very good at back

I think mcgeady has been good despite the miss they can’t handle him

left back looks good too getting forward

good stuff that like

Decent half. We had the better chances. They had that spell in the middle but we defended well in general.

I think McGeady and Gooch have been a little wasteful but that’s the nature of wingers especially in this league.

Stewart’s hold-up play is something else. I always expect it to bounce of him and end up with the opposition. I’m not used to that quality.

you’re on the ball tonight mate, spot on

Annoying not to be in front, but a good performance minus the finishing. Gooch frustrating at time, Stewart reminds me of Bendtner and Dan Neil is an absolute baller.

We seem to have turned into a decent team. Have players all over the pitch making contributions unlike last season. Just need that first goal!

Played really well, created loads of chances. But haven't taken them. McGeady & Stewart one-on-ones were clearcut, and they both drew great saves from the keeper separately. Had other half-chances too. If we keep playing like that, you'd think we'll win. The worry would be that we haven't made our dominance count.

Still, encouraging stuff. Neil has been excellent, so has Stewart, Embleton has grown into it, O'Nien has been good. Doyle very impressive aswell.

Winchester has been solid but I think we need him to get further forward in support of Gooch so that we can create mismatches on that side. If it stays like this, Gooch to RB could be an option, with maybe Broadbent or Diamond on the wing. Wouldn't mind seeing Pritchard for 25/30 minutes either.
