Losing to Burton is a bad result and unacceptable.

It's obviously a bad result and we shouldn't accept losing to any side but losing with that type of performance makes it easier to digest. We know we need to improve and hopefully we can add to the side (like Johnson alluded to in his post match interview) but tonight's performance is something we can build from.

It’s what always happens with too many kids and no killer touch. Shame.

You could be right. If only we had a Will Grigg type.

Don't like how he looks upwards and away from the interviewer when asked something uncomfortable.

Bounce back with a win against Wimbledon on Saturday and all will be okay 👍 Burton will beat a lot of top sides this season

Plenty of encouragement with the performance. But very frustrating not to get anything from the game. We really have to be far more clinical in front of goal.

I do have mild concerns we may struggle against the more physical sides in the league this season.

But let's get 3 points on Saturday and it hasn't been a bad start.

Having a youthful side has nowt to do with it.
The only negative is players who have predominantly only played u23 football need to learn fast about playing the physical sides in this league.

I dont have too many concerns over it though, I think we just need to control the tempo a bit more to show our quality.

I’m actually pleasantly surprised that they have taken to it quickly. Will be plenty of tests, with teams like Gillingham, for example.

We can run it if we get Neil on it regular imo.

My only concern is our games are very end to end, it's great to watch. But never feel like we really have a foot on the ball or controlling it. Everything just feels rushed and holding on at times.

To be fair despite us being quite open Burton only had one shot on target.
Was lucky how it fell perfectly for him aswell!

Not even just tonight though. Against Wigan and mk dons we missed numerous chances and got let off with others. Not sure this side will give us a real comfortable win with a controlled performance. We are far too open.

Finishing is something we need to work on but atleast we are creating multiple chances a game so far. Hopefully Broadhead is someone that can help with that.

I'm hoping that once we get a more settled back line we can shore it up aswell.
Neil is never a left back and was our weak link against Wigan and I think it's obvious Cirkin is not fully fit yet. Hopefully once he gets upto speed and we sign a right back ourndefence looks better.

It is a million times better than the 1-1 draws under Ross where we literally had one attempt on goal.
ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK

Not me, we win that game 4 times out of 5 imo, that's football.
I'm not saying we lost tonight because we looked lightweight though. Its poor finishing that cost us tonight. Burton aren't a physical side by league 1 standard so that side wouldn't be a factor against such teams so much. The likes of gillingham on the other hand..

The reality is with us playing more football now we may pass it around such teams. But I do have my reservations against the more physical teams in the league.
