Are the stars aligning, few teams have a squad like ours where we can have 3 or 4 out and still put out an equally strong team.

They have absolutely nothing to play for though realistically. In order to have even a small chance of reaching the playoffs they are going to have to win all their matches which includes us , Pompey and Luton and hope that Doncaster drop 7 points and Peterborough 6

Hence my comment re squad depth.......Catts out we bring McGeouch in, 2 full backs get injured we bring Oviedo in. Not many teams could have 2 left backs, catts, McGeady, Matthews, McGuire, Love (ha ha) injured and look no weaker.

I take your point, largely, but I think we are a worse team without McGeady and Maguire.

Ha ha, deffo not counting chickens, followed this club too long to do that, not gutted they are struggling with injuries though, first choice centre backs missing is likely to be a huge problem.
