Yes but we sold Bellingham and Watson for almost £50m, and we only “had” to buy Enzo who I think everyone is happy to have.

They have lost 2 of their best players for nowt and had to spend almost £50m signing players they know won’t make the step up.

So similar strategy, but would argue they are in a completely different place financially.

6 of their 9 signings have been under 10m euros. We're definitely spending more per player then them at the moment.

I think they ll do better than Leeds. Leeds will get opened up if they don’t change their style of play. Burnley like us had success sitting deep so are well drilled at it.

No, they have signed a load of championship players in the hope of getting lucky and surviving.

We aren't building a side to scrap against relegation. We are building a side to be competitive much higher up the table. It might not work as a strategy, but the board are aiming much higher

Not surprised to see Brownhill leaving on a free. He's 29 now on the back of the best season of his career.
It's absolute peak time for him to get a premier league 3 yr contract on decent money, at a club which offers a more secure premier league place (maybe a west ham / Everton / Wolves)

He's out of contract. So they are going into contract negotiations with him knowing he can leave on a free if he turns it down.

It's letting him bend them over a barrel and a decently run club should never let it get that close. It's why we're trying to sort out Cirkin and Neil this summer.

You can get between 24.5 - 27 points spread on our total league points finish with spreadex, could make a decent amount buying if you think we will get more than 27 points

Suggestion is he has formally left. His contract has expired (He might still agree a new one)

He's probably not insured to train if he hasn't got a contract.

It does seem unlikely that he'll sign now that it's dragged on for 2 months since the season has ended.
