Pretty much every Sunderland fan would have been delighted with a point at 8pm, missing two pens doesn’t change the fact we achieved that. Obviously disappointing we could have won but it sets us up nicely for the two games next week, especially as Le Fée looks excellent and we look to be adding more quality this month.

Hopefully including 2 fullbacks who can mark their wingers

Well we have cover with Dan Ballard . Thought it was a decent game tbh. We learnt a lot. Le Fee class . Patto and Cirkin back on top form. Our Head Coach is dignified. post match. We are a very good team and in the mix for promotion.

Some positives to take. The performance. The clean sheet. The players you mention there. We really need to address the penalty situation

Not really, it's a double bluff. The keeper might have dove the other way, they often do.

It wasn't in the exact same spot. The first penalty was about 18 inches off the deck, a lot better height for the keeper. The 2nd is on the deck, it's a lot harder to save.

He telegraphed both of them and the keeper rightly guessed and committed early to that side both times.

The definition of madness is repeating something and expecting a different result.

I feel for Isidor and hope this doesn’t affect him but he had to do much better with that second one, not just slightly better

I think this is what a lot of people are frustrated with in the main. It really is always us. It's never routine. It's never smooth and it's never easy. If something weird or wild happens in a match, 95% of the time it's not in Sunderland's favour.

Got to take the chance when it's gifted to you! Twice! It's those key moments which define teams. We seem to conspire to shoot ourselves in the foot. I wonder how Wilson reacts after this too as he looked gutted. He has to take the 2nd one differently after missing the first and could have walked away with a match ball on another night.

Let's hope the management have things weighed up. The team are good enough to get promoted automatically. It's a setback but not fatal. Let's be honest a point before the game was viewed as a bonus. We are disappointed because we haven't won.

Missed opportunity but Le fee looks a good addition. Hope Mepham not too serious. Didn't look good, we need him as he's been great.
