Burnley fans on Carley Road

burnley fan here, had a great day and no trouble at ll , dunno what u lot are on about

met some great home fans
Apart from your lot throwing objects down on the home end at a height.
Visiting fans always made welcome in the casino at the ground. Would be happy to meet up for a beer when you’re next down.
No ta. I’d rather not have glass bottles thrown at me from a height, thanks.

wondered what was going on there tbh, i cant defend that if it happened but i saw nothing,if we were 2-0 down i was probably talking to courtney who works the bar, got a bit fed up at 2-0 down when the game stopped everyone seemed to be taking a break so i did too

obviously dont condone that if thats what happened
if anyone of you are courtneys fella dont worry nothing happened, i refused to give her my number

I hope you and Courtney meet again.

I saw all this and wondered what the hell was going on. At the time I thought it was Burnley infighting.

We walk past the coaches every game - and without fail there is away fans giving shite to our fans - families, oldies and bairns.

Police presence by the coaches non-existent today.

Yes that was exactly what I thought.
There was a Burnley lad shouting a song into peoples faces as they walked passed him.

Then this lad moves next to him , from his side, speaks briefly then cracks him.
I thought it was Claret on Claret and the other lad was pulling him up. Then all pockets were going up all over, and I clicked what was going on.

It was like walking through a minefield with little explosions going off left and right.

I left literally on full time and walked along the emergency road.

On the right hand side on the hill was a group of what looked like 14-16 year olds, clad in ‘casual gear’. I don’t think they’d been to the match or if they had they’d been out sharp.

There were no Burnley fans out at that stage but they were definitely up for bother.

Just in case we missed it he likes Courtney !!

The police horses where splitting something up on Southwick road. Didn't see what though.

It was always going to happen after the stoppage. People are sick of away fans throwing shite with seemingly no action from the club.

I spoke to a few Burnley in the Colliery after the match and they were sound like. Complimentary of the first half but didn't realise we had most of the squad injuried.

Northumbria waiting with cameras

This road by the away coaches sounds like a hotspot for trouble so why no police there? Surely that's a valid question for the club to get answers on as they will no doubt pay a small fortune for policing. I saw mounted police before the game near the away end trotting about when all was quiet, obviously no sign of them when there's actual trouble.

Aye imagine Chelsea away Milk Cup semi final ffs 😂
This -I got my nose broke off my fellow Safc fans who thought I was Chelsea !!! -happy days
Did alright in Finos up to that point then “ thanks lads” looked like Steve Bruce

That would sound right. They obviously gathered, then went and mingled in with the younger Burnley element . Hence there seemed to be no defined charge as you
would see in the 80s, or the bouncing around of the 2000s , more pockets of blows going in all over the place.
As there was no colours on you couldnt tell who was who, but they obviously new as they gathered in a group again to face the older Burnley lads.

I mean, they looked like bairns, and its a snidey trick , but you have to say a clever method of getting what they wanted.
If I had walked past one in the street I would say they couldnt fill in a form, but they were game as badgers.
I have to laugh when people say they are only kids …..16-19 aren’t kids. They are usually big units with little or no fear of the consequences.
One of my lads is 17 and can hit harder than a lot of older blokes.

Im not gloryfying dj just reporting what i saw.
I was a casual observer more concerned that my son or his girlfriend would get dragged into it, as they have responsible jobs.
I would have preferred it didnt happen, but it did.
To be honest I am more surprised that after 4 years of mobs of young uns coming up taking the piss out of families, and lads by themselves, there now seems to be an active small group who seem prepared to turn the tide .
I have no truck with ANY fan of any club.
