Bumble leaving Sky

I don’t think bumble is racist, he’s definitely well past his best as a commentator though.
Agreed with this.
Was time for a change if only for the fact the act had got tired. A bit like Soccer AM, the “banter” became painful
And this.

Do I think Bumble is racist? No. Do I think he was "cancelled" because of his comment? No.

Do I think it's beyond deplorable and shows horribly someone's mentality when they insult people for calling out racism? Definitely

I
Jesus Christ. Yeah, how dare people "grass" when someone is racist.
It was a private conversation. He lowered his guard to be frank and open with this 3rd party. Was it even racist what he said? borderline. Regardless, within 24 hours this podcaster contacted Rafiq to tell him what David Lloyd had said about him  odd queer situation. Weird. Doesn’t sit well with me.
Would you be happy that every single thing youd ever said in confidence to someone you trusted, was made public?

I forgot how virtuous and sanitized everyone was.

He was like

and this is part of the problem, cant discuss anything now, just immediately called a racist.

I am normally the other side of the fence on this one but I think its pretty poor what has happened to him.

I do kind of agree like

It feels at times in general people are looking for someone to make a mistake then decide, right that’s the end of you

That seems to be the aim rather than having an open discussion about things

I’m a labour member and that type of attitude crept into the party a few years ago.
It’s why 99% of footballers are like robots, can’t get away with saying fuck all.

I think it's good that we live in a time where people are responsible for their actions, whether it be talking, writing, or whatever.

What isn't taken into consideration, it seems, is that a sizeable proportion of the country grew up when the environment and values were totally different. Absolutely no leeway is given to anyone who has used a phrase for decades that nobody took offence to until very recently.

For example, I know people of my age and older who use another expression for mixed race. It's simply what was ingrained into them since childhood and nobody of mixed race at the time thought it as a racial slur.

It's definitely a tightrope for older generations, and I think Bumble was caught out by this. If he had a racist bone in his body he would've been called out for it decades ago.

I hope his watching TV from home role for Talksport is a success.

I dont think Bumble is racist at all. Going to miss his commentary. Take the attempt of humour out and what he says is spot on about what he sees. He doesn't have to say "grab" for a catch like the useless and ill-mannered Hussein does.

Agreed! There isn’t a person in the world who hasn’t said something that they regret or that will have offended someone.
