Sounds like he's been stupid and naive rather than corrupt. Hopefully this should be the end of it.
 
This is drummed into players relentlessly. They know from a very early age that this is unacceptable. He is lucky that his punishment isn’t more severe.
 
Has there been an announcement about his contract because I would assume that it's cancellation would be part of his punishment. I reckon if England want him they'll keep him on. Mind you, whether he's worth the contract is a matter of opinion and a different thing.

Yep just think it's massively hypocritical from these boards banning players for gambling. While they plaster it everywhere and can't wait to pig out in gambling firms endless money trough.

If they actually gave a fuck about protecting players from gambling they'd ban all sponsorships.

A lot countries on the continent have banned gambling and alcohol sponsorship for many years. Celtic have many times had to wear the Celtic foundation on their shirt in Europe instead of Carling/Magners and for 8 years Dafabet.

Shows how much money they've got to attract more addicts, when they happily take the hit on not having their logo plastered in Europe.
