Was absolutely fantastic in Downfall, one of the best portrayals of a real life character in any film imo.

Only other film I've seen him in was that Unknown one with Liam Neeson about 8 or 9 year ago, was tremendous in that - shame his character was killed off early in it.

A fantastic actor. So sad that by going as viral as Hitler his other achievements have been overshadowed. His performance in Wings of Desire had already secured his place in the history of cinema.
