That Woltemade deal there is why the striker market is so fucked. He’s scored 12 goals in the Bundesliga and is going for £60.5m

He’s a good player like but my god.

This is why the club can’t go out and “buy a 15-20 goal proven striker”
 

Apparently Brentford want to over Dortmund a similar amount for Beier and he scored 10 in 47 for them after signing for 28m a year ago.

Correct. The number 9 is making a comeback

The current premium is due to seeing a generation of versatile wingers coming into their young 20s when training strikers wasn’t de rigueur

I'm sure even if he's completely shite, some on here would spunk themselves silly just because of the price tag.

Don’t worry, the magedia will be social media and TV, saying that this is the best deal ever and Newcastle are 10 moves ahead other clubs.

He was good in the recent euro tournament, I think he might have won the golden boot, but didn't stand out against England in the final.

He's 6ft 6. The mags seem to rely on hoofing the ball forward, relentlessly playing aerial crosses into the area and set pieces. Seems perfect for their Wimbledon, high energy style of play.
