Brobbey

I actually think Heskey would be more respected if he played now

I think fans are more understanding that a lone striker sometimes doesn’t get loads of goals but brings a lot to a team

It's easy to look at bare stats like goals scored or goals per game and think "ooh, a striker that doesn't score goals? Great!"

But to be honest other footballers absolutely loved playing alongside him, and often talked about how it their success was significantly helped by his hard work.

Thing is though how is he so strong? He's obviously ripped but he's up against defender that are just as big or bigger?
Have you seen the legs on the man? Absolute tree trunks. It’s his centre of gravity, his core is like an iron bar.

Genuinely think I might love him, the big moody bastard

It's mad, I appreciate he was an absolute colossus last night, and how unplayable he was, but he has to walk away with at least 1 goal from his 3 big chances.

Maybe I just need to accept and appreciate that he will contribute to more goals than he scores and that's ok. If he could finish I guess a few more clubs would have stood up and took note.
He's been with us 6 months and its obvious to anybody who has at least 1 good eye he is a natural for the premier league and for us. Brobbey is on an upward trajectory and he will score more goals.

Absolute beast.
Hopefully his mentality remains as it is.
We are a club that can lose players due to our status so we must keep on the front foot to keep the likes of him.

I think he'll be fine playing the battering ram role for the rest of season but not sure he could or would want to do it for a full season next season.

way better than heskey. If heskey plays now, he will struggle. He often lose ball at times against world class defenders.
Have to disagree , heskey would also be superb now.

Why? It's literally his game, do yiu expect him to play in goal or something next season?

People forget he’s 23 man, they talk about that strand lad as a young player he’s nearly two years older than brobbey. He’s an animal and the perfect fit physically for the premier league. He’s will score more this season and with a full preseason and hopefully some more creativity coming in he will score even more next season.
Champions league or we will lose him next year

Of course he would.
That’s what he does he also shows a sublime touch.
He’s not just all about strength.

Loved the analysis of him that Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher did on him a little while back. Henry, in particular, is bang on. The second Brobbey knows the ball is coming, he starts moving towards his marker and grapples and pushes him.

I just love the thought of the Saudi Embassy and their slave hordes of fans looking at that daft German and Wissa then looking at Brobbey and then kicking the shit out of the T.V
