Bristol Rovers away: owt could happen

The form guides are really strange on this one.

Over the last 8 matches home and away they look like they might be a major banana skin

Won 2 drawn 5 lost 1.........It has draw written all over it given our love of draws during that same period (won 2 drawn 6 lost 0)

However, dig a little deeper and have a look at their last 8 home games. When we look at that they have the 2nd worst home form in the division over their last 8 home games with a record of

Won 1 drawn 3 lost 4.

Sunderlands last 8 away games have been hugely impressive, 4th best in the division

Won 3 drawn 4 lost 1

We would have been 3rd in the away form table but for BRISTOL ROVERS who over the last 8 away games have

Won 4 drawn 2 lost 2

So what does this tell us? We are strong away and they are shite at home. Both of us have drawn a LOT of games in recent times......Their recent form is far better than their league position suggests while ours is worse than our league position suggests.

This is gonna be a toughie, a win will need an excellent performance from us.

Got a real nasty feeling about this one. Over the years we don’t have a gtreat record away at Bristol Rovers and have very bad experiences there. Craving for a good win and a really good performance but can also see a devastating 3 - 0 defeat - hope not.

I don't think Chris Maguire will be on the scoresheet.

Fuck off, McGuire is the Chuck Norris of Sunderland

Getting to the point now where everything is irrelevant unless we win. Biggest club in the division with best squad. Fuck opponents and worrying about their form and this and that. Go their with attacking mentality and blast them off the park. Draws are not good results.

Agree, we have a lot more riding on this game than them and our best form of defense is attack.....If we play to our strengths (attacking) we win, simple as.
