Brennan Johnson (signed for Palace)

What does that even mean, we called in the last 24h?

To wish him well?
To say happy new year?
Or did we call in and ask to send him the PowerPoint, with Tottingham’s blessing?

If it’s the latter, we are serious.
If it’s the other two, I’d suggest we are not.

1 of the missing pieces of jigsaw, along with another gk, defender, midfielder & a forward
Then we can get shot of the likes of Patterson Alese Hyelde Neil and the dead wood etc
That aint all gonna get sorted in this window mate. I'd say RW is top priority currently

Can't see us breaking our transfer record on Johnson.
20-25m would take him, but that extra 10m could probably get us a special player
I think he'd be a definite improvement on what we have currently, but at £35m, with him currently on £150k p/w wages and a hefty signing on fee, that would be a massive chunk of any budget.

I do think he would fit our style of play beautifully though.
This
He’s going to Palace for 35 million

Very happy we aren’t paying that for him, too much IMO
Doesn't have to move house etc...European football and a team that will be top half

Get the feeling he doesn't fancy this Palace move and will turn it down.
It’s too big a step down from Spurs for his brand, ego and social media manager to swallow. However the lad next door reckons Johnsons made more tackles this season already than the rest of his time at Spurs put together. Three.
Talbi's shown absolutely nothing to suggest he'll get near Johnson's numbers. One of his 'assists' was him picking the wrong pass when three on one against Wolves and then f***ing the pass so badly that it went nowhere near the intended target and the defender accidentally kicked it in his own net from twenty five yards.

He was the worst player on the pitch in the first half against Bournemouth so I'm not sure when you think he played well. That second Bournemouth goal was disgraceful. The simple pass he fucked up to Xhaka to kill our attack and then the simple ball miles behind Traore to send them through was appalling. Won't get into the way he got brushed off the ball for Liverpool's goal either.
To sum up: We’ve enuff lightweight non tackling seldom scoring wingers as it is.
He’s a good player! But he’s not leaving London when he doesn’t have too is he!
Aye. It’s bad enough having to go sarf of the river never mind ap norrff.

On the surface, it seems like we inquired at most, or just mentioned his name in larger conversations and Spurs are able to use that to threaten Palace more. I do believe it won’t be this easy for Palace.
