3rd team played Washington few weeks ago we got 204 off 45 they got them for 7 wickets off about 42 overs. Turns out their opener who got 60 odd had played 1st team on the Saturday and shouldn't have played.

League only gave them a warning. We have appealed it get to know outcome tomorrow. We played a lad few year ago in the cup that we shouldn't and conceded the tie even tho the lad only scored 2 and only bowled a couple of overs.

Know you lot would really wish us well ;)

If they let the league committee know beforehand then they won't be in bother.

he has to have played 3 first team games before he is fully band anyway and if they can prove they had no other option but to play him they will be fine. I'm sure this young lad was only in the 1sts to make the numbers up anyway.

Still need dispensation if you play on a Saturday. So we can play a first teamer to "make the numbers up" might try that.......

what puishment does it say in the rules? as to my knowledge there isn't any. Not sure why your whinging tbh he isn't a propper first teamer and as long as its in the spirt of the game and 3rd team league the fair enough.

They could always start challenging the league against people who are regular 1st teamers who get special dispensation to play.

Out of interest do you know how many games he played for the 1st team and what position he batted or bowled?

Sorry for " whinging" thought this board was about cricket debate.

Not really interested how many games he has played he gave them a big advantage that won them the game. We have applied for dispensation before if the league are happy to grant it it's within the rules
 
clicked on the cricket forum for a bit banter and so far all I've read is f***ing brandon whinging about called off games and juniors that score a few runs against their 3rd team who shouldn't play cos they fielded for 50 overs for the 1st team.........nee wonder nee fucker likes them

he batted at 9 in there first team and going off his record is a bog standard player certainly no first teamer. I could have sympathy if he was a regualr and great first team player but he clearly isn't that yet and again does the rules state any penalty for this, you will find there isn't. They may have broken one rule but certainly the player that has played is within the spirt of game and that league

Well if that's the explanation we get from the league we will I am sure accept the ruling with the honourable grace associated with our club. Thanks for the research ;)

Played cricket for 30 years and this type of things have happened numerous times in 3rd team cricket. If you take 3rd team cricket as seriously as that its time you packed in.
