I can just see those long throws and the resulting headers hitting the back of the net with a thump. Like watching a real man's game. It might give Wickham a new lease of life.
 
I'd probably have to have a long hard think about it, I can't imagine not going to games but I can't stomach the thought of seeing one of those two in charge

McClaren is English, a coach with Premier League experience and a pretty decent record. Ticks some boxes.
 
I know he had money to spend (unlike at Boro now) , but just look at the demise of Boro since McClaren left.
His Boro team didn't often play the most exciting football in the world , but were never in serious relegation trouble , won a trophy and reached a european final.
Also , the comebacks against Steau Bucharest and Basle could never be described as "boring".
