Bowler rotation this Ashes series

Best batting technique of all available spinners

Don’t talk about the full toss spinners though

I’m keen to see this kid Ahmed at Old Trafford at least. I reckon he could be very handy there
Think we'd be wise not to expect to see much - or any - of Ahmed this summer. He's a great talent, but throwing him into an Ashes series, especially if Sir Stokes gets his way with the pitches, could kill the kid. Don't expect too much too soon

And for those reasons, I fully expect he'll play every Test, he'll get carted and he'll go onto a career in finance or something.

AHH the old resort to accusing people of derailing a thread just like when you don't agree with @MustardAndOnions

Literally his first post, the first reply, derailed the thread.

Leach will play all 5 tests mind, one of the main things we can be sure of.

You just know he will be laughing as soon as bairstow gets a low score

haha he really will like. I don't get why he dislikes Bairstow so much honestly. I have been joking winding him up with Foakes, but I like Foakes a lot and rate him, I don't really mean it. He seems to really not with Jonny, which seems a big shout if you consider that last summer was probably one of the best I had seen by an England player if I am honest. The only reason I am getting drawn into these pointless debates is, although 100% allowed to say you want Foakes in, or whoever, of course, it is more how 1 debatable call and some are just slagging off Crawley and then even Stokes and McCullum. I am going to defend them! I think the negativity been uncalled for considering how amazing we have played.

Twitter isn't for old gits

Why though you support England at cricket
My dad's Scottish and supports the English cricket team.

I've obviously always supported the English cricket team as I was born and bred in England.

But I'm 3 quarters Scottish always had more affinity for the Scottish football team than England.

As English football to English cricket is like another planet. Always been able to fully get behind the cricket and not the football, easier now with the national team as there not all wankers even if the fans are.

Interesting debate on TMS there.

The panel seemed to see Broad and Leach as the two shoo-ins for Edgbaston, plus two of the rest. Personally I’d say that it’s Robinson, Leach and Anderson plus one, fitness permitting.

One point I'd like to say, which wont go down well with CC fans, was Jimmy n Robinson played too much cricket this season, both got injured and both were clearly a bit out of rhythm by time first test. not sure why they played so many county games like.

I dont think we can totally judge on that one test as they will get better, I was always a bit worried about balance, although they all bowled dry and we did nearly take 20 wickets on a flat pitch, so it was OK.

Wood will play at Lords, as will Broad.

The one lad I'd like to see more of is Potts, I am biased as seen him a lot but late on Day 5 when Cummins is in, Potts would have been relentless, he hits the bat hard, top of off stump. I thought then, when we had the game almost won, was when the age of our attack showed up.
