Was on youtube earlier live. Think its on Lords website for those interested.
Paid special tribute to Greame Fowler for his work with Durham academy.
Is this right? Thought the uni was his thing

Fowler is with the University,certainly no involvement with the Academy in fact word is he and Cooky don't get on. Certain amount of sympathy for Fowler at the moment as he' suffering with depression.
 
Wasn't he with the academy just after finishing playing and prior to the Uni like when Hussain's dad had the Uni.
 
Fowler & Beefy are old pals from the days they robbed a living off DCCC.

I rememeber reading Fowler expressing his thoughts for Geoff when he had his bad turn last year like.

He spoke out about it at the time Trott returned from Aussie but re-reading the article it appears it was some time ago but is recurring. I don't know for certain how Cook and Fowler get on but the rumour appeared to surface because there doesn't appear to be any link up between DCCC academy and DUCCE.

And from England days, Fowler played when the dirty dozen went on the rebel tour.

Suffers really bad bouts of depression by the sound of it.

Agree with Botham's point about IPL completely. Botham has got some stick for it, people saying he is jealous of themoney etc, I think his poinst isn't that he would not of took the money if he had the chance, he would of,just the option should be took away. For the majority of cricketers it is becoming more important for them.

It is why I am reluctant to give much stick to England's ODI side, India can act all high and mighty now, but they lost the real test badly, a few 50 over wins doesn't change anything.

I can imagine many of India's test heroes are very embarrassed by recent results. Shastri, Gavaskar, Tendulkar, etc
