Boro thread

It's a shame Sunderland don't do that any more to get younger fans in. I'm a teacher at a school in Ingleby and Boro have some cracking deals to get the kids in, they do it a few times a year. My son has a Boro season ticket and he's 16 and that was well priced I thought. I just think it's disgraceful the adult prices. I know lads that have been st holders for years and Gibson has priced them out.
We have the Generation Red Family Zone but there's only limited availability.

I believe an U16 season ticket at Sunderland was £55, which is incredible value.

A lot of fans were dissapointed by the price increase for adults at Boro, but in fairness to Gibson he seems to be dipping his hand into the warchest this summer. I think we'll be having a right good go at promotion, so hopefully paying the extra money will be worth it in the long run.

It's also been rumoured that we've sold 20.5k season tickets, so we won't actually be that many numbers down on our average from last season.

I hope you have a good season mate, living here for as long as I have, I've got a great affinity with the area and my son is boro daft. Was a hard pill for me to swallow at first and he had season tickets at Sunderland for years but he was born here on Teesside and he goes with his mates and loves it. He went Blackburn and Leeds away last year. I was worried sick
I've done longer 53 years 😆
I love it here mate, taught here in Ingleby for 23 years but only moved here in 2003. I've never lived in Sunderland as I'm from Durham so in some ways I've more affinity with Teesside than the city of Sunderland.

Are we still having this f***ing debate about who’s a bigger club with Boro or what? There isn’t a debate to be had. Boro have won a trophy more recently than anyone in the NE but it’s literally their only one ever. They have had more club crests than trophies that’s a fact. They sell the riverside out once / twice a season which is the same attendance we pull in on a regular home game. It’s not and never will be a debate who the bigger club is and I’m not dealing with opinions I’m dealing with facts. It’s a boring debate.

I don't think anyone has been arguing about who the bigger club is, unless I've missed something.

The vast majority of Boro fans couldn't give a toss about Sunderland being a bigger club than Boro, many Boro fans have seen Boro win a trophy, and to us that will always trump this idea of being perceived as being a big club.

I live in Stockton and I don’t think that’s the case. Most Boro fans / mates I talk to and drink with week on week would never admit Sunderland are a bigger club

I find that surprising to be honest. Boro fans I know generally mock Sunderland fans for the whole big club rhetoric.

From my experience Boro fans aren't bothered about who we're perceived to be bigger than.

Dear dear me… I live south of Yarm… know quite a few Boro fans. They share two traits.
1. They don’t attend matches
2. They are obsessed with Sunderland
