Boro thread

Can't see us going on a run like last season, we will do well to make play offs. However, we have now got hope.

From Sunderland's point of view think it depends on the January transfer window, they could probably make a run at promotion with some good investments but they don't like spending money and can see Clarke going.
I think the Boro squad are starting to click a bit now though, the new lads have a had a few games to see what this league is about and the emergence of Coburn has coincided with an upturn in results. Liking the look of Greenwood too, he’s only started 6 games in his career and i think this lad may flourish under Carricks guidance, so although we have lost the goals and creativity of Akpom, Archer, Ramsey and Giles it’s been offset with some promising new talent. And of course there is the January window again, (that’s when we really kicked on last season) which could see even more quality added.
On to Sunderland and i can see Mowbray being hounded out before the seasons end if Sunderland have a bad patch, as Mogga often has with sides he manages. They have some good young players but I’m not seeing much experience in there or players who can graft and slug it out - I was really quite surprised at how they wilted once they went down to 10, they had no fight in them at all really.

Exactly this. Can’t see us being in a automatic mix up. I’d take 6th now. But I think we will be about 8th unless we spend in January

Sunderland not caring is part of the rivalry. I've heard Newcastle say the same about them (especially in the past 2 years). A 4-0 loss strengthens the "we don't care" thing. Just like the 2-0 win last year had them singing about dilly and dallying and taking Boro in half a minute.

Some if it is true, some of it is banter, it's all part of it.
I like boro Hartlepool and darlo.
I don't like Newcastle.

Wonder what response you got when you went around Boro on Saturday asking what the score was 😬
It will wait till January. Anyway I was too busy hanging out the back of your lass. Left my scarf round there as well , give it a wash for us , it’ll be bit crusty.
