Boro thread

It's a big game to a lot of Boro fans, it's a big game to some Sunderland fans but not others.

Can guarantee if the roles had been reversed some of your fans would have been buzzing just the same.
I live in Newcastle, support Sunderland and work in Leeds.

To me Saturdays result hurt as much as it would if we'd lost to Plymouth.

I actually don't mind Boro, I went to school with Carrick so want him to do well.

Thought you's kept the ball well at times, but did very little with it in the final 3rd until the sending off. I've no doubt we'd have won that game if the sending off didn't happen. However it's football these things happen. Roll on the next match.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

part from your last line totally agree & mind smoggys bit

I felt a lot worse after our defeat to Luton, and was hoping Boro went up rather than that bunch of shithouses.

It's not even close to losing to the Mags.

Our home form looks like it's going to cost us again.

If we'd been done fower nought at home off the Saudis I'd be in a dark place now would be down for yonks but full of the joys of spring this morning well apart from it being Monday like HWTL

If O'Nien was co-commentator again, Sunderland may have had a sniff.

He's absolutely terrible.

The defending for the 2nd, just to allow Jones to slide it right through his legs for a tap in for Crooks wouldn't be seen at Gateshead FC.

He's better at getting piggy-backs, than defending.

The only reason Saturdays home loss felt worse than Ipswich and Cardiff is because the referees ineptitude had a significant impact on how the 2nd half unfolded. They caused us no bother 1st half then funnily enough when we lose our only fit DM we go to shit. Wasn’t even just the Dan Neil card either. Greenwood not getting a 2nd yellow at 0-0, their bloke who elbowed Ballard on the stroke of HT not getting a straight red and multiple other decisions that went for them then the same not been giving to us - trips, pulls of the shirt etc

Lad who elbowed Ballard also went for a headbutt after when everyone was piling on 😂

Middlesbrough are of absolutely no interest to me. Just another mid sized second tier club who have never won anything or competed at the very top level of the English game.

It’s an invented derby to give them something to look forward to. I mean Brighton and Crystal Palace is somehow a derby to Brighton supporters in a similar way despite being an hour away or something.

Our derby has and always will be Newcastle. We’ve literally been to war with them.

Middlesbrough I wish luck to for the rest of the season. Terrific little club.

61 top fight seasons would indicate we have competed, just not to successfully.

When we were generally on top mid way through the first half, Clarke left their full back for dead (again) and the fella practically had his shirt off before Clarke got away and headed for the bye-line. Granted the ref played an advantage, but any decent ref would have then gone back when play was dead and carded the fucker. It was reffing of a poor standard throughout.
