Boro thread

Until they played Chelsea in the cup last time they filled it was against us think 2016 😆
Can’t remember us filling it against you for years. Why would we fill it for Sunderland coming to town. Doesn’t spring much emotion in anyone
Aye but you said you’ve been filling it for years -which is incorrect-then had a pop at us for the same ?!
You have decent support to be fair
I said for a few years we filled it every week, we had a demand of around 38,000. It was a high point for us, on an average season never said we fill it

All very impressive gates. Never said Sunderland don’t have good fans, I’ve said factually you’ve never ever filled it. 43,000 isn’t filling it is it. Now look ours and you’ll see for a few season we filled it and averaged 32,000 a few times.

Ahh see but you said it should have been kept at 42k and I've given you five examples as to why it was extended.

The two seasons at nearly 47,000 average is fillng it, only let down by clubs like Wigan, Fulham etc who bring 200 fans into the away section.

Only rivals the smoggy have is South Bank United
think you may find there a bit defunct, (if there still going I haven't about them for years and don't know where they play) some rival.
Don't know what Boroboys is banging on about, you are a very well supported club one of the biggest in the country. What I don't get is your fans being so dim as to say we are a tiny club, like I said there are 80+ sides that are as tiny as us and some of them about 70 odd cases of them miniscule.

I personally said that you have decent support-which you do.
Fanbase size wins nothing ( we and our friends up the road know that better than most )
I agree re Boroboys who does bang on about our ground being too big for us and we should reduce Stadium size whilst vastly overplaying your demand -which for many a season was early 20 thousands - ! but apparently your ground isn’t too big ?
Seems a very odd argument.

Why I used South Bank United I knew they were non existent like you've got no rivals

Who cares about attendances tho when both clubs have done nothing in modern football really.

Since the early 1960s both clubs have 1 trophy win each and 7 top ten finishes between them (3 Sunderland, 4 Boro).

Bit of an inconvenient truth for some on here.

That's the point you loon we Still attract huge attendance despite not winning out shows we're true supporters not Glory ones just we get bigger crowds than yours

yep,
Same (imo) with all this ''Big club, small club'' nonsense.
None of it matters as far as i'm concerned.
Some clubs have more fans than others - so what?
