Boro thread

If Boro got promoted, their home games,
and any away games that allowed their tin-pot-drum in,
would not be unwatchable for me.
I imagine no big clubs will allow the little twerps through the gate.

There could be 3 'non relegated' PL teams in the Premier League next season as Sheff Utd, Southampton and Ipswich are off to shite starts.

I wonder when the last time was that no PL relegated team got promoted the season after?

If it does happen then it makes us stopping up this season even more of a bonus. Hopefully next season we'd be able to improve a little more and put a gap between us and those coming up and having to build from scratch.

Good points raised. My prediction is that ourselves Leeds & Burnley will not drop back down.
Things can change a lot in the Championship but we shall see.
But.. what has any of this got to do with Boro little league 1 club mentality with their tin-pot-drum 😂

Just when you mentioned "If Boro get promoted" made me think about who else would be and where the 3 relegated teams were as I haven't really took notice of the Championship this much so far :lol:

Leicester got relegated not Sheffield United and they are in the top six, not saying they will get promoted like, just stating the fact that it is them and not Sheffield United.

Indeed😀, no one is kidding themselves it won't be a tough ask .
Have you got strength in depth though to seal a top 2 place like Ipswich have ?
 
Think we’re as good a bet as anyone to go up. The league’s wide open. I’d be disappointed if we weren’t in the top 4 this season
 
I think Boro should have lost Carrick half way through last season, he seemed out of ideas.

If they go up it will massively depend if they can afford to spend to survive

I'd pay good money for newcastle to dissappear forever. Football club, residents and city.

But Middlesbrough are ok, I'd like them to come up as long as we stay up. Much better than Ipswich, Southampton or some other London suburb.

I don’t mind the Smoggies because we can do that “Not A Real Derby” thing that winds them up.

Plus I always feel a bit sorry for them as they have got nothing at all going for them.
 
Boro fans won’t want to go up. They spent all summer saying as a promoted club we will lose every single week and it’s soulless replacing the players who earned you promotion.

Surely they don’t want PL?
