Boro thread

That Boro forum is insane. The thread about them being unlucky is hilarious. It seems to be some sort of coping mechanism, they really aren’t taking our great start very well at all.

This one on FMTTM made me chuckle…

I’m looking at through the vodka glasses. The mackems have been luckier than a lottery winner. Boro have been more unluckier than someone who gets struck by lightning. Strangely enough, I would rather be a boro fan. Our luck will change, as will the mackems. We are a great team who is learning with carrick. We will finish above those unwashed pit yakkers
It's funny watching so many fans, mainly Boro and Leeds fans, get so butt hurt over us been top of the league.

I think they are very one eyed.

Did we get a huge slice of luck against Leeds? Yes.

Did Leeds get a huge slice of luck with an offside goal that was given? Yes.

Did we ride out luck first half against Luton? Yes.

Did the referee literally let them continuously push us off the ball and foul without punishment and also gave a side who are very reliant on set plays 2 extra corners instead of a goal kick and a thrown in? Yes.

We were unlucky to lose both games that we have lost. We have been a bit lucky to pick up a couple of other points elsewhere. It's largely balanced itself out. We are deservedly top of the league.

Totally agree. I think a lot of them look at how we finished last season and our perceived luck. They underestimate our squad and think we are top by luck alone.

5 points clear isn't luck on our part.

Leeds, Burnley and West Brom all drawing 0-0 is lucky for us but it's totally down to them to win their own games. We can only win our games which we are doing.

Surely four eyed given their two heads?

“More unluckier” is an impossibility and an awful use of grammar, no surprise from a mutant.

You can be more unlucky or unluckier, you cannot be more unluckier.

Boils my piss, same as “most happiest” etc, chav language.

24,438 is hardly a bad attendance for a Championship club with one of the highest ticket pricing in the division.

As I've said, still a lot of games to be played this season. Let's see if you have the squad depth when you get 4-5 key injuries.
Sorry to bring this to you, as you seem to think we have no injuries and playing our first 11 every week, but unfortunately you’re way off the mark.

To come back from injury we have:

Mayenda
Samed
Higgins
Alese
Ballard
Seelt
Abdullah
And now Patterson

To come in gradually after reaching fitness and training with first team or simply not getting a game due to current starting 11 form we have

Watson
Connolly
Aleksic
Browne.

So it seems you’re “let’s wait till they have a few injuries” hope is well, utter bollocks. Now take that back to your FMTtM lot and enlighten them.
