Borini

We have some really precious little darlings amongst our support. The amount if people who have taken him not signing immediately after a fee was agreed as a personal affront is weird. He's a young lad making a huge decision which could set the path for the rest of his career. Chelsea, Roma, Liverpool......Sunderland. I can see why that would take some thinking over, he's choosing between playing week in week out as a key player at a bit part club and being a bit part player at a top club. That's the reality but the inferiority complex of some supporters means their reaction to him having the gall to take his time is embarassing.

Have a little bit of patience. He hasn't insulted us or fucked us off or anything like that. We will see what this week brings.

He is not in Liverpool's plans, he has no chance of being anywhere near their first team next season, I cannot see any other side coming close to matching our offer, I would be amazed if he is not in a Sunderland top by the end of the window
He wont be here mate

They're in 4 cups so would think he will get a chance to stake his claim at some point.

Why on earth would a player of his supposed ambition be happy to play maybe 5 cup games a season when he has the chance to come here and be one of the first names on the team sheet. If he was in Liverpools plans to any extent at all they would of not accepted the bid

He wont be here mate

Well nee fucker else wants him

What is the point of telling you lot anything. It's like you want any good news to be wrong. The tickets are prepared at Newcastle and sent on email. The tickets are not purchased actually in America. SAFC have a corporate account at the airport. Oh and the flight is JFK to Charles De Gaulle to Newcastle.

I really can't follow what your telling me.
Airports don't do anything with tickets surely? You purchase them from an airline. So unless your mate works for safc or an airline, then I don't understand how being in newcastle airport would give them information.
Safc would purchase the ticket online, and email it to borini.
And unless going to CDG was much cheaper, which I'd presume when spending 14mil on a player, the club wouldn't really worry about a few hundred quid difference on a first class ticket, surely he would fly into Glasgow Manchester or London.

Cheers though

Also Poyet said yesterday when talking about our strikers "we have Jozy, Fletcher, Wickham and if Fabio joins.....then Fabio". It wasn't really mentioned much on here but that's a big indication we are still in with a great chance.

He is 23 year old, he has time on his side, he doesn't need to leave Liverpool at this stage of his career.

I don't think he would have thought he would have been in their first team plans when Liverpool had Suarez and Sturridge but he came out week after week and spoke about this coming season at Liverpool.

If he is in their first 18 I can't see why he'd want to go tbh. I don't think him coming is the be all and end all. It would be a statement signing however we aren't limited to signing borini. Especially with a 14 mill budget.

On a scale of 1-10 how gutted will you be if we sign him?

Some people seem desperate for us not to get him. What a weird set of supporters we have at times.

I'd like to see us sign good players so I'd be very happy to see Borini sign. You can dress up it however you want but put yourself in Borini's shoes, leaving a huge club like Liverpool for Sunderland will be a massive step down for the lad.

He's not going to come here unless he is forced out and there's no other takers.

Even if he did sign I doubt he'd stay here for long as he always spoke saying that he wanted to play at the highest level and was playing to impress any high level teams that were watching.

He works hard but I'm sure we can get another hard working player who contributes more than 3 open play goals and 2 assists, us signing him won't dramatically effect where we finish next season.

Can't believe how many pages on this thread. He must mean a lot to a lot of posters on here. Scoring 2 vs mags and 1 at wembley gives him a sort of cult status to people.

You either didn't watch us at all last season or just have a very very short memory
