People are just ignoring the 'up to' part in the original press release.

We have no idea what the reasons are for it.
However it isn't usual or normal practice, it hardly if ever happens, no idea why people seem so keen to deny that.
The Suarez situation was the opposite of this don't know why you keep bringing it up.

I don't fully understand this view. If he's a success it's 14m, if he's just decent and he plays most of the games we're paying 14m, if we sell him we need to pay the full 14m. In the worse case he's a flop and we lose 12-13m. So it's still a very big fee.
I'm not saying we shouldn't pay that, I think we have no choice with the current insane market, but people trying to say it's a small fee and it will only be 14m if he's the new Messi are way over the top.

Yes we dont, yet you keep banging the he wont come drum.

I think he will but have also acknowledge he may not as well. You have zero evidence to say he wont come, as the reason hes is in America may have nothing to do with Borini and totally financial, yet you seem to think he wont join because some clown with multiple incorrect stories says so.

Have you actually read any of my posts? I have never said he won't sign. I have made that point several times.
 
The only facts any of us should be facing is that no-one has any idea what is going on ! Would love him to come but spending all day speculating and stressing won't make the slightest difference if he signs or not

If he signs fantastic ! If not it's disappointing but we move on
