How right you were.
Here lies the weakness of Lee Johnson, The ego. His teams play football and he is positive but thinks he is too clever when stability builds progress. No need to change the formation today. His analysis was to press their possession high, but away from home a team with possession will create goal scoring opportunity. I’m not a knee jerker at all but I can see that Johnsons ego affects his decision making.

Boring shit. Im a 23 yr old lad ya dick! I cant see his dad reading all this shit. He will actually laugh when i tell him. I always speak my mind about players, nobodys perfect maybe you should play for safc or sorry u never kicked a ball in ur life 😂now get back in ur armchair while i watch the match!!
Safe journey home Mr Embleton, make sure Elliot is tucked in tonight with his comfort blanket at bedtime.

What else can we do ?? Moan on the internet ?? It changes nothing. He won’t be sacked. Today was shite, really really shite but all we can do is move on.
I wasn't being facetious mate. Apologies if it came across that way.

Indeed you are correct. Nowt else to do but get on with it.

The defeat is terrible but on reflection I'm more worried about the knock on effect on confidence.

When we get beat, we don't half get a humping don't we!?

😞

What a loading of crap, the 2nd goal is quite often a huge goal in a game as even at 1-0, playing shite a team (not just SAFC) could nick a equaliser and the tempo of the game changes. The 2nd goal could have been prevented by Winchester, or at least made it far harder to score but you choose to ignore that I pointed this out and went on to rant about Johnson.

I even started the post with "I know Johnson isn't the best manager" but you're clearly ignoring this in your hatred towards Johnson (ignoring the fact you've talked crap in reply me before). Feel free to continue waffling in reply as I find your posts amusing at times (not just in reply to me) and all over a single post of mine being critical about a player not doing the basics and nothing much more 🤪 🤣

What defence I have? What am I defending? I pointed out a player not doing the basics and you're the one who has gone off ranting about Johnson 🤣
Losing 1-0 is the same as losing 6-0. And without managing more than a single shot on target, did you really think we were gonna score a goal today? Difficult to score 2 goals with 1 shot.

Winchester was signed by Johnson. Coached by Johnson. Selected by Johnson. Motivated by Johnson. If he ain’t up to it, it’s Johnson’s responsibility.

Johnson, Johnson, Johnson, Johnson, Johnson 🤣

And he resorts to memes. I win. Tarra kid
"I win"? 😂

I 'correctly' criticised a player for not tracking a man (as did Danny Collins the ex SAFC defender) and doing the basics and you brought Johnson into it and kept going on and on. Your last post ranting about Johnson in that pathetic manner shows I was correct in my earlier posts about you and Johnson, hence my 'childish' reply. It's probably been a waste of time replying to someone whose not even got the point of my post and goes off on a tangent but I can't ignore it as it's also been amusing me after the shit show today.

Goodness me, fancy coming out with "I win" man! 🤣 Tara you say, I think not, just like you put me on ignore last time you started spouting crap and is probably more why you latched onto my post and can't let go again.

Are there any good unemployed managers who would come and rescue us. PLEASE
Grant McCann ?
I suppose at least Wigan haven't won. Small mercies and all that.
But still have gained another point on us ( 2 if you count goal difference )
I’m confused - do you think that he did tell them to defend like that?

Really?!

Does any manager anywhere tell their players to defend like that?
If the players arnt listening to him there has to be a reason for that
I’ll ask you the same question - are you suggesting that’s what the players are coached/told to do?

Spot on from Danny Collins there - “the players just downed tools”.
Which indicates they are not playing for the manager
Aside from the very best teams in the country, every single club has good run, bad run, throughout a season. It’s what football is.
The teams that get promoted though usually only have one bad run……this is our second and we still have a third of the season to go
Because having watched the game, and the way the players performed, I put that result much more down to the players not turning up, than any “formation” or tactic.

Is Johnson blameless? Of course not. Is he mainly to blame? No, I’m not having that like - the players were absolutely woeful. As Danny Collins (I think rightly) said, they just downed tools.
The players clearly though think its acceptable to down tools/give up/ not fight etc etc as they have done this a number of times already this season….which shows they have no respect for the club or the manager or indeed themselves. They clearly have no fear nor respect for LJ

It's the manner and way we lost that should worry every single Sunderland supporter. We were destroyed today.
