Go anywhere in the world of work and you will find a certain type of manager, who hates anyone with charisma/character and surrounds themselves with sycophants and yes men I concluded this a year ago and have not changed my opinion. You can't seriously exempt Johnson from blame, why have a manager then? Who motivates the team, who makes the in-game changes. HT alarm bells were deafening - he did NOTHING. Yes the players have collapsed in this one, but the selection, formation and approach that failed and remained unchanged for way too long - that's 100% in the managers hands. If the players don't perform it is the managers responsibility over time to solve it. But these games keep happening. Absolving him of all blame is utter ridiculous.
