I’m confused - do you think that he did tell them to defend like that?

Really?!

Does any manager anywhere tell their players to defend like that?
I’m confused - do you think the players all got together and told him that they preferred playing 4 at the back and getting humped. Did they tell him to keep persisting with players that are bang out of form and a little shit. Did they tell him to start the game with only 3 defenders. Did they tell him not to change the system and the players at half time?

Really?!

Do any players tell their managers to make decisions like that?

This is far from acceptable, I can't believe that, at 4 nowt down and looking like conceding every 2 minutes, he puts on 3 attacking players 2 of whom are making their debuts. I'm in the minority as one who doesn't mind Johnson, but I don't think there's a way back from this for him.

It’s been said on here. He has no idea how to change things when it’s not going his way - none whatsoever.

I can’t f***ing stand him me, I’ve never liked him but now this is just taking the piss

He’s coaching the fuckers every week, signing the fuckers and picking the fuckers. No excuses
I thought you had me on ignore and I should have just ignored you as soon as I saw who it was 🤣

Aye Johnson tells them to not bother running back and let a man get ahead of them for a free shot at goal 🤪 You missed the point of the my post and used it to jump on Johnson and ignored that Winchester didn't do the basics of tracking a man and staying goalside that you learn from a young age. That's down to the individual's winning mentality and discipline as not something he'd need a manager to tell him week in week out before a game. Winchester was lazy, ball watching and gambling nowt would come of the lad on the wing but he got caught out ignoring a man running past him so accept it and vent your Johnson hatred on summit else.

Tactically, we tend to look stronger when we play three at the back. But that defeat didn't come down to tactics. We just collapsed after the first goal, again.
Danny and Frankie referred to that as our worst ever result. It's hard to argue.

I wasn't particularly Johnson in or out before today but you cannot let a performance like that go unpunished. Send a clear message now and sack him tonight. Totally totally unforgivable result

Possibly the poorest result of the decade so far. Very disappointing. Batth has been poor and not what was hoped, though just at the start of his time with us. Poor afternoon. Johnson needs to explain clearly and coherently how he'll turn things around.
