Had a great pre match calling at the world famous phoenix club in bolton as seen on crime time, it was brilliant all went down hill after

It's no mean feat. The days of clubs going straight from L1 to challenging for promotion are long gone and the highest any promoted L1 side has finished in the last 4 season was last year's Blackpool in 16th.

If anyone still doubts the credentials of Speakman and co, that should be all the evidence you need to realise he is doing a fantastic job.

Same here but I was driving back with a Bolton fan.

I left at 60 minutes and had a bargain bucket from KFC..
That has to be one of the worst performances ever served up.

From the first minute we were absolutely terrible. God knows what happened that day.

LJ looking at the bigger picture. Knew he couldn’t do it for us so chucked the game in the worst possible way, so he’d get peddled.
Always was a creative thinker. Genius level management.
 
Bolton played out of their skin that day, everything fell for them and it won’t happen again for them for a long time. I don’t even think we were that bad overall, just one of those days in my book. Although it was obviously a very definitive result and we reacted to it superbly longer term.

Bolton 3.08 vs SAFC 0.34

So it was a hammering but aye, never a 6-0. It was one of those days where everything went wrong and then some.

3 months too late really. If he'd have gone in late October/November, I think we'd have gone up automatically. Then again, Neil might not have took the job at that time and the following Mowbray appointment wouldn't have happened.

I was just thinking this the other day after seeing an article (Echo maybe) saying the team is all changed now, it hasn't really. Massive turnaround in confidence for those players though
