Unfortunately people come and go, geologically and geographically Tunstall will always be separate from Silky, despite the desperate whaling of the Wanderer (a very apt moniker with his powers of geolocation).
I live on the estate behind that house and the electoral roll address states Tunstall Village. It’s still more Silky than Nohope though - sorry, Ryhope.

Can we end the conversation about where the house is please. There are more important things. Like reading some git big juicy comments about the residents and visitors.
Is it the house that had a car on bricks for ages? Think it was a Passat

That’s the one

Grangetown
Is the Alex pub area
What a way to totally decimate what was turning out an intriguing read with tedious comments about the location of the house.
:D:D

Both tunstall and let’s not forget Rocky hill , are a dot in the distance mate , there’s no argument here , it’s like someone from seaburn saying they are from Cleadon

I did think about putting more but let’s just say in an area of hard working older or retired people the owner didn’t fit in.
Our boy lived up there for a bit. About 15 year ago and the other side of the road from this. If anyone wouldn't fit in that area it would be him though.

He was in a little cottage until the owner sold it. Not sure if it was going to be demolised and the land built on. The place was a shit tip though. Pretty sure he was only living there to stop the place being ransacked while it stood empty.

That's always been Tunstall.
Years ago the so called "Poshies" from the top of Strawberry Bank, top of Leechmere Road area called their area Tunstall so they wouldn't be associated with Hillview Estate or Grangetown.
