Whey aye mate, have a gander. Not sure about Porter mind.Me and me mate had a good crack at the Double so they might not have much leftI may pop in later today see if there's any DM left or perhaps I'll have Samson smooth or if they have Raspberry Porter in bottles?
Shouldn’t be letting people vape like. That would make me leave the scruffy gets. Was in last night, almost turned round and left the smell in the entrance area was so bad but persevered and it wasn't as bad inside. One of the lasses in the group wanted to go elsewhere but i was served by then.
Beer was ok, the Vaux is far better in Vaux itself though. Singer was excellent however, but the people I was with weren't impressed with the place. Staff letting people vape at the bar as well, is this a regular thing?
I'll be honest I've tried hard to like it but I'll not hurry back.

They need to decide what the place they have in town is as it certainly isn't a proper craft beer place at the moment.
Somewhere that focuses on the beer and maybe puts some decent food on.So what is a proper craft beer place?
One TV screen in the bar and a smaller one in the back room.Somewhere that focuses on the beer and maybe puts some decent food on.
As the focus is the beer there's no need for massive TV screens with football on, music blasting or bands playing.
All IMO of course but it feels like it's trying to appease the masses rather than trying to specialise on he beer.

The beer is class give it a chance.
The guest beers are OK. It's torn between being a micropub that focuses on selling well kept good beers (Blues, Wobbly Duck, Town Mouse), and a town centre pub that has tellies, sports, music. Its falling between the two.
And even you must admit there's an issue with the smell. You simply can't pretend it's not there.
Popped in a couple of weeks ago, seemed a nice little oasis. No smell.
Exactly the myth goes on.
It does stink.I'm not a liar. Call it a myth if you wish. I'm not lying.
No TV is needed at all though if there's enough focus on the beer that people will go there just for that. One TV screen in the bar and a smaller one in the back room.

Same with the live music. That's even more of a strange thing than the TVs for me.
It's great to see another place in the town trying to put good beer on it really is but it's not a massively appealing place for me to go at the moment.
They may. They may not.I'm sure they'll will find a way to survive without you.

They may. They may not.
It is possible that not every local business in Sunderland is perfect though mate.
Sounds like they need to appeal to the morons rather than let the beer talk. Need somewhere like a big vaux. Minimalist with tables, chairs and the brewery in view.Somewhere that focuses on the beer and maybe puts some decent food on.
